Re: Return after life
Hi Diedel, I just installed a fresh copy of D2X-XL and the d2x.ini contains these two tracker IPs: -num_trackers 2 -tracker1 87.106.88.224:9424 -tracker2 66.199.187.57:9424 Which differ from the one in this thread, so I added it to the list so that it looks like this: -num_trackers 3 -tracker1 87.10...

Looking to host regular, large matches
I'm looking for anyone willing to play a variety of game modes at extremely flexible times. My work schedule is erratic but not very demanding, and I would like to spend much of it playing D2X-XL ever since Descent: Underground re-kindled my interest in the mines. I will be playing anarchy very regu...

Re: Request: Entropy Map Suggestions
Yes, specifically for the use in the Entropy game mode. I want to get some larger-scale games together in order to try it out. For science, and fun.
Because science is fun.

Request: Entropy Map Suggestions
I'm looking for any Entropy maps people have made, or recommend. I have all of the levels Diedel hosts on his website, but I recall a long time ago there were a few more level packs I used that I can't seem to find anymore. If anyone could recommend and link any Entropy-enabled levels for XL, it wou...

That looks very, very nice. I'm impressed. It really does look just like the original cockpit!
Good work.
Good work.

Re: D2X-XL quick installation guide (MS Windows)
Did you try putting -multithreading to 4? The number you pass it tells it how many cores to use. If you have 4 cores, you shouldn't be using 6. Also, I believe you have to use the OMP version of D2X-XL for multithreading to work, but it's been a while.

3D powerups aren't lit
I don't usually play with 3D powerups, but I turned them on recently while playing on my mission that I made and realized that no matter where they were, they were very dark. My level is a very bright level with only a few dark segments, so it looked very out of place. Do I have to do something spec...

Re: Development Blah: Comments
Because if it's rounded, it's easy to tell how close you are to filling up the cube limit while designing a map ;) So if you're at 8,000 cubes, you can go "Oh, I'm almost halfway to the limit!". If it were some obscure number like that, you'd have to think harder about how close you are to...

Re: Best of the big ones (15+ level mods) - top three
Kak has become very interested in single player missions, and is very... thorough ;) It's nice to have someone so focused on it though, to be honest. I hate single player, so I focus entirely on multiplayer. Someone as energetic as I am, but focusing on single player stuff, could be good for the com...
