Re: Polytron32 request for assistance
At risk of being a terrible horrible necroposter, I would like to comment that I, too, am unable to run Polytron32 in Windows 7 x64. What I have to do is run it in a virtual machine running Windows XP. I'm then confined to a tiny window but at least it works as opposed to having a seizure and crashi...

For making a map interesting, memorable and fun, there are simply too many ways to list.

Re: Development Blah: Comments
You miss the best enzo. This time the change is BIG. Design enabling tools. If the curve generator is fully complete with these new features (and the calculation/generation algorithms improved) it will be the first "omni-tool" of descent geometry building. You build your connectors and th...

Re: Development Blah: Comments
I use an older version of DLE because it is a version which made me (mostly) happy and I stuck with it.

Re: Into Cerberon needs help after a long hiatus.
I see. I'll have to... somehow... obtain Doom 3 again.
Shame. I can't buy online games, and I don't have enough in my steam wallet for it.
Really wish I hadn't wasted steam funds or whatever they're called on certain other things.

Re: Into Cerberon needs help after a long hiatus.
I wonder. Since the source is released, will it be possible for this to, if they keep going with it, become a standalone game?!
I do understand this requires completely custom assets.
I would LOVE it if that happened, like with quake 3 and Urban Terror!

Re: How do you play missions that don't require D2X-XL?
With DOSBox whenever I play either D1 or D2, I have problems with the game... and DOSBox... crashing.

Re: Lost Levels 18 and 22 palette swap?
Actually the descent.txb file associated with Lost Levels (it's lostlvls.txb rename to descent.txb in some earlier versions) works perfectly fine with both ports. I know of no other missions that come with a txb. Any level with a briefing or (in the case of D1 levels) exit tunnel sequence has a TXB...

Re: Trying to Install Descent 2 on Windows 7. HELP!
I.. didn't do this. I'm not sure exactly what you're supposed to do with WinRAR, but what I instead did was get DOSBox and install Descent 2 using it. After this, you can just put D2X (any version) in the same folder. If you take the DOSBox path, you will have to go through a process of mounting a f...
