me and karx found the solution. hires_sound was set to 2 in the d2x.ini, but i didn't have hires sounds, so i just changed it to 0 and it fixed it.

d2x-xl and rebirth aren't the point of this, the point of it is my videos, please try to stay on topic people.

I've been busy this weekend so I haven't had time to do anything. Hopefully I'll be back at it tomorrow. I can find a way to cut down the polys. I know how to optimize which normally drastically reduces the count. There is also a few things that can be deleted. It just seems odd that when people design video games they normally try to get a high poly count so it looks really good. And here we are tryin...

well i don't have a completely insane amount, at the moment its around 70000 polys, I'm not sure if that's to much or not. I don't know how smooth d2x-xl handles a lot of polys. if it is there is detail i can get rid of. and thanks weyrman for pointing me towards the converter. it can save as a 3ds ...
