In my head, I see the current weapon in Green, available weapons in Blue (or maybe Yellow), and useless weapons in Red (No Energy/ammo). The code I saw to disable the guidebot from D1 was in escort.cpp on lines 1094-1095 in revision 4500:

If I had a copy of the compiler, I could re-enable it myself.

Pretty neat about the view culling! It needs to update the camera angle for the death sequence though because the game isn't rendering what is behind the ship. No combination of alt/ctrl/shift-f4 nor regular 4 spawned the bot. (but I did get a message saying none was in the mine with shift-4.)

I don't think the input device is the optimal choice entirely. But it is a convenient size and I already own it. I don't suck with it, I'm just afflicted Kahn's disease. (But I can roll with shoulder buttons to change the horizontal plane.)

cache delete did nothing (files in root folder!).
