Re: A downstream Linux fork of d2x-xl

Hey steel, I still wish you luck. It really helps with maintainability if the build script is the same as linux (with the few tweaks). So we don't end up again with a osx build that is very much out of date.

Re: Bungie are a bunch of f*cking liars ...

They are most defiantly not the little studio that gave me marathon back in the 90's. There was a time when I loved Bungie. I'm still grateful for them for releasing the marathon 2 source code to the community, as well as giving out the whole series to it's small group of dedicated fans for free. (s...

Re: Warp in effect

You don't hear Freespace 2 SCP getting all this flack for "unnecessary glitz." What nonsense! Without their hard work there would be no Diaspora, Wing Commander Saga, and Babylon Project! It's such fan projects and modding ability in-which communities are based around!

Re: Updated installation guide for -fix-setup etc?

Well I tried to change the switch to just
'movies 2', and same thing, It hangs when Initializing. No error report, or anything. I guess I'll put in a bug report. Something is quite fishy here.
Oddly enough the robot m2 movies worked with 'movies 1'

Re: Updated installation guide for -fix-setup etc?

Thanks Pumo, but setting it to 0 causes d2x-xl to hang halfway through the initialization process. Same as if i had commented out the ini switch. Could it be a windows 8 problem? If so I'll file a bug.

Re: Updated installation guide for -fix-setup etc?

Hate to sound noobish, but what did you do to install the movies? I'm installing from scratch on my windows machine, it put the movies in a movies folder. in my config it says: -nomovies 2 I started it up and the movies won't play. It does see them in the Play movies list in the main menu. I tried c...

Re: A downstream Linux fork of d2x-xl

great, that turned the executable into another app bundle called d2x-xl_1.17.61.app which includes the generated info.plist. Missing the frameworks folder, but we expected that the icon however went into our first d2x-xl.app though :\ Also the executable in question is not working, but lets focus on...

Re: A downstream Linux fork of d2x-xl

It just created the d2x-xl.app Contents and Resources directories and put the d2.icns in it. There is no .dmg file

Re: A downstream Linux fork of d2x-xl

Great now we got the d2.icns in the right place. it's a start :)
Now we have to create the d2x-xl/contents/MacOS folder and put the executable in that under the name d2x-xl
and then create the Info.plist into the Contents folder

Re: A downstream Linux fork of d2x-xl

mkdir: /Users/herecomethej/d2x-xl/build//d2x-xl.app/Contents: No such file or directory

slowly but surely :)

you got to create the d2x-xl.app and Contents folders first before you can make a Resources folder in them.
