The models are just the 3D powerups that are on the D2X-XL downloads page; I don't know how to edit them... although by viewing them with some viewer program, I can see they are less complex than the D3 powerups.

Is there someway to make D2X-XL handle the models like Descent 3? In D3 you can drop powerups galore and the frame rate stays nice and dandy.

yes, but frame rate drop has shown up on every computer I have tried, including some nice HPs with dual Crossfire - 512mb vram ATI cards, Windows XP Pro

1gb ram, 256mb nVidia gfx card, 1.80ghz processor. Vista Home Premium, but the frame rate loss shows up on any computer, no matter how powerful it is... I've run tests. :?
