I tried the 32bit version first...that produced the lovely "Windows is finding a solution"


Also I'll point out this this is Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, Retail...I can go to the 32bit version Windows...


Hell i've got my origional XP disc floating about if i need to go to that.

I installed it to /program files (x86)/Descent 3


When i installed it to the default /Games/Descent3 it took off like a bat out of hell...

Graphics = nVidia 9800 GT (with the latest drivers) I've tried loading it with the default profile. And i've reinstalled D2X-XL...twice. I have also tried both -omp and the -64 versions to no avail. The only thing that has changed was me going to Windows 7 x64 and the driver versions. That's it.

For some reason, mine will not start...

It looks like it will then it gives me a "Windows is trying to find solution" box...

all the files are in place and all access rights have been set.

I am using the very latest drivers with Windows 7 x64
