I'm going to have to look at an older version of a level I did then because I somehow managed to make one class 1 drone completely normal in every possible way conceivable and the one next to it do pretty much this..

Re: Creating balls

No tetrahedrons then? Still, it seems this holds very interesting possibilities. :) I can totally see someone doing an outdoors area where you fly around the Sphinx and the Pyramids of Giza! Back to the matter in hand: Next..... you need to add more light sources if you wish to be able to see...

Re: Creating balls

I've tried again. What I did this time was to create a cross form, 51 cubes in length, end to end. That is, each shaft is 25 cubes long with a central cube. Then, I built the sphere around the central cube, thus enclosing the cross within the sphere. Next, I extended one of the shafts so it broke ou...

Re: Creating balls

Thanks, Aus-RED-5, that worked. Just a couple more questions, and then hopefully I'm off on my own. 1) After some experimenting, I created the ball around the starting cube as soon as I opened the editor from scratch. I then deleted that cube and flicked around the surface of the ball until I found ...

Re: Creating balls

Ok, I downloaded the files and it now works :D Having created my sphere, how do I import it into my D2 level? Also, how do I then attach it to the cube I want? I can't see a control or menu option for either of these functions in DLE-XP. Thanks! :)

Re: Creating balls

Thanks, Pumo, but the utility isn't working. It says there's a file missing. :( I've sent you a PM about it, unless anyone knows where I can download a working copy?

Creating balls

Ok, so what I'd like to do is create a perfectly spherical room to fly around in (this will be the central chamber of a multiplayer level). What I have done so far is to create a cross of six corridors coming off a single cube, so that the resulting sphere will have a diametre of 51 cubes (this numb...

Re: Development Blah: Comments

You do it because you love what you do, and set the footing for future generations to evolve it. Yes. I visualize someone coming to pick up the pieces you drop from exhaustion and finish them, so that you (and the future generations) may continue. I visualise someone struggling to pick up the piece...

There's some seriously messed up maths going on here.

This is crazy. The customer service people in this video think that .002 cents and .002 dollars are the same value! :horror: http://verizonmath.blogspot.co.nz/2007/08/original-recording-of-verizon-customer.html "It's a difference of opinion." No. No, it's not, and I would hope the finance ...

Re: Recent CPU optimization?

:omg: Why don't we just soak our rigs inside a tank full of replaceable coolant? (liquid nitrogen can be good, we can use superconducting materials there) That's a great idea! Then we could crank up all the eye candy to max without melting our graphics cards. I totally love that photo o...
