How to make each texture a solid color or have no textures?
to get StarFox SNES look, or
like walls in the distance in when classic Descent set to it's lowest setting.
Some thoughts/idea's about this:
replace the *.tga with a (pixel sized?) *.tga with the color of the average pixel on the original
Sounds like this could be done with a shell script
(Cons: Having to UNDO this and go back to original *.tga? ... renaming of folders)
add an option so that the maximum texel used is 1x1.
Option to disable textures all together?
What about any alpha texels, or animated texels in doing anything of the above?
If something did work, Would the results be playable? Would one be able to distinguish where the different walls, objects, etc... are?
