Hi,

keep cool guys, if I said, I will finish this model, I will do it, as long as I'm alive ;)

In the moment, I have many real-life problems to handle, so I have not much free time anymore.
My company is doing a reorganisation and I have worries about my job, my health is stable, but the health-problems are not gone (and they never will) and many other things.

Anyway, I'm working on the models.
If I have any noticeable progress to announce, you can read it in my blog in the next days.

Greetings, MB

I'm back!

I started completely from scratch, because I wasn't at all happy with my previous model.
This new model is completely 3d, not just the original cockpit with depth.

I'm still waiting on replies for the conversion, but it should be done soon.

It has 1155 Vertices and 1236 Faces.

Hi Sirich and welcome back!

Nice effort! What you've done is far more then what I could ever do. The cockpit dash looks too soft or rounded. Just doesn't look quite right.

Maybe more on the lines of this.

Of course you don't need everything you seen in the first pic, but the third one gives you pretty much what is needed.
To me this is closer to what I think the cockpit should look like.
You don't need to copy that idea, but maybe aim the design more in that direction. ;)

Nice touch, but I'm also talking about the display panels as well. ;)

Oh, that just has to do with the way that I'm rendering it.

I can turn off the smoothing though, and it'll look like this. \/

Oh yeah, I also added a joystick submodel.

That's a little more like it. More edgy and machine-like.

Ya, much better! :)

That smoothing just makes everything look like it's made out of plastic.. hehe

More stuff!

I added side control panels, a pedal submodel, and made the joystick panel a little thinner at the front.

Kinda looks like leather upholstry on the sides there... Maybe go with carbon fiber?

The current textures are just placeholders, but I will try to get a good carbon fiber-y texture. :D

In the meantime, I added another pedal, and got a better angle. :)
