Hi there,

i have done

rock001, rock002, rock006, rock007, rock265, door17#0, door18#0, door19#0 and door21#0

and i am working on

door23#0

at the moment. i've also decided to work on several other doors based on exisiting hires textures (10, 11, 25, 26, 29, 30, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 45, 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 54 and 57). In order to avoid confusion about exisitng and planned textures i've updated my OpenOffice document with information whether textures are planned or not.

@Diedel, would you like this document directly via Mail (you could send me a PM with a mail-address) or shall i use a download-site again?

Al these doors i've done or i'm willing to do are based on existing hires textures done by the great texture artists:

DizzyRox, Novacron, Theftbot, Weyrman, Aus-RED-5, Lord Nothing, MetalBeast

I want to use the corresponding hires texture and implement the door feature. I know this isn't very creative but still a lot of work. I hope all artists agree with my idea.

Best regards

Maaspuck

Copy that. I will mark the textures reserved by you and i will not do those (actually i can do several doors based on created textures as well - i really know how to do them fast now that you mentioned them. so the only thing we can do is divide them - so we can do them faster - after all they are not require a lot of work. so if you can share some of them let me know) I wish you luck in your endeavors.

Ctrl04#0 Update.

Postby -JoFFa- » Sat Jan 19, 2008 8:05 pm

Here goes another newcomer Ctrl03#0 in 512 version.

Also i noticed a slight (what i call) mistake in the original texture Ctrl04.

Based on the original mistake(intent?) by Paralaxx its highres version contained the asymmetry which were fixed in this update of Ctrl04#0.

both comes in a 512 version

ok - here the screens

Hi -JoFFa- and all,

nice reactor textures...keep going.

Of course we could share the work on all those textures i mentiond above. You could, for example, start with door57 and continue down to lower numbers and we will meet in the middle. But this is just one idea. I just used to decide to start with these textures as they are based on existing hires version and i was not sure whether i am able to create textures or not. Meanwhile i recognized that with the help of Paint Shop Pro and Paint.Net it is not so difficult to create the hires door textures (BTW, it was unpossible for me to create transparent section with PSP, therefore i need Paint.Net).

The next project would be to create new textures and i already made some experiments with MapZone which seems to a perfect program for this purpose but i think i have to learn a lot before i will be able to make cool textures with it. But the examples look fantastic in my opinion. Does anyone of you have experiences with MapZone?

Wanna have a look at my 'small' texture pack? You can get it here.

Have fun

Regards

@Maaspuck:
Your List is not complete, I already made high-res versions for ALL D2 "rock-NNN" textures.
Mabe Diedel didn't put them all for download?

EDIT:
####
I'm confused, in the download area are actually only 80 rock-textures included, but I send all 200 to diedel.. :?

Hi all,

Dokument is updated again. It seems i am getting in trouble soon with you all guys updating the textures within seconds... ;-)

@MetalBeast
At the moment i wanted to rely only on the 'official hires textures' which are available for download. All other textures I have seen, downloaded or created within past days and weeks, are mentioned in red color in my Document. So if you have done more textures than those, which can be downloaded on the D2X-XL site, make a link to them and i could add more information in red color? What do you think?

Best regards

Here are my versions of all 200 ROCK-textures, I made last year.
Some of them are not the best (even were first try), some are not very original related.
But I think better than nothing. ;)
