Well, here a quick test with other shaped engines (GX like) and completly black textures.

Just a quick and dirty draft,
I will make new textures these days.

these models are unbelievable. What is this D3U mod of which you speak? I was so happy when I found D2X-XL that I never bothered to look for Descent 3 upgrades, but if your Black Pyro model is a good example of what D3U is about, then it looks phenomenal.

My goodness, that is one highly professional looking model. I can't beleive the amount of detail you have crammed into the engines. It looks like you have spent a lot of time on those, and also they really show your talent. YOu should be very Proud of this model MB, its amazing! This is one of the best pieces of work you have produced..

-slightly OT- looking at this made me think were the headlight is situated on the pyro, is the headlight those 2 white projections on the nose of the pyro?

Thx for the comments guys :D

Yeah, these two things on the nose are the headlights ;)

All the details you see, are just well made bump-mapped and rendered texture ;)

Some people did mean this pyro should have purple reflection,
like some of the very new cars, if you know them, which changes the color depends of temperature and light..

So I made an new test:

The D3U means Descent 3 Ultra and is a D3 mod initiated by "Mob Messenger / aka Messenjah"

If not, will it be soon?
