Nope. I just do not have time reading all subjects and messages of your forum. I'm reading just the ones i care or find interesting to me. so its no wonder that i havent seen the discussion about GoG.

Joffa,

GoG.com hasn't just become popular through me, and it isn't exactly around since yesterday. Everybody in the Descent community except you seems to know about it.

Know what? In the future I will simply delete posts you make that contain unfitting or "dangerous" content (like recommending software piracy). That is probably easier than going through three iterations of posts and responses.

I guess I should probably watch my back....

The D2MB PDF file drives me dizzy, but then again, it is huge. D3 Mission Builder looks like a nightmare to figure out though, so I guess I'm lucky.

... Though, eventually, Descent 3 missions would eventually be an interest >_< Arg.

As intimidating as it may seem, I can asure you that making levels for D1/D2 (be it using Devil or DMB2/DLE-XP) is FAR, FAR easier than making a D3 Level on D3Edit. :P

I agree with Pumo.

I've made plenty of D1 & D2 missions.

I've tried making a D3 mission, but for the life of me, couldn't make them. :(
At the time, there were tutorials to follow and even those didn't help. The best I could do was make a single room. Couldn't join any. :wallbash:

Anyways, those days have past. D2X-XL is all I need when it comes to creating missions/ levels for. ;)

Yeah. With the advancements D2X-XL has made, it's a better payoff. Still, I hope the day comes when true outdoor mechanics will be added as opposed to revolving wall texture or a visible containment box (still looking for the single player campaign that used the large outer space-textured room... I have a craving for its awesomeness!)

Descent 3 used invisible bondaries, so... I wonder if D2X-XL will copy that.

Yep, D2X-XL already has full outdoor support. A couple of other good missions to look at are for outside areas are Yokelassance's The Sphere (level 4) and Dimensional Intersect, as well as the demo level for my D2X-XL demo mission (which also includes rain effects, and I think is the only mission so far except for Boiling Point and maybe Dimensional Intersect to do that). The full 7 level d2x-xl demo mission will have at least two more levels with outdoor areas including an outdoor final boss.

I have made a couple of D3 levels, however the only really good one I had a lot of help on (from Mzero). It will be in Army of Haloon (the full version, it's not in the demo).

I did indeed attempt Boiling Point but it requires Vertigo and no one seems to sell that. I've tried Amazon, GOG, looked on Wikipedia for info... I don't use eBay because I'm not financially competitive.

I'll give the other missions a try though. I'm still sifting through the couple hundred I downloaded yesterday.

EDIT: Seems The Sphere download link just refreshes the download page. Odd

GOG has it. They sell The Definitive Collection which has the Vertigo add-on.

Are you sure? The last time I got it from GOG it didn't include the Vertigo Add-on. Did they updated it or something?

Afaik GoG doesn't sell the Vertigo expansion (which is hard to understand).

Of course. Its your forum and you're by right the one who can do whatever you find suitable. But i never did really offer any piracy - i just reffered to it. And i said that you forbid it.

Bottom line: The one who searcheth. will findeth...amen
