Play with Sykes?

Postby Sykes » Mon Sep 14, 2009 1:57 am

I am currently in D2X-XL ready to play. If anyone happens to read this, join the Steam chat room and we can play together!

Not sure of the time you posted that. Looks a bit odd but it's now Monday evening and I am looking for a game to join. Steam requires I buy something to actually start a chat. /sigh
...going down again!

You don't have to start a chat, or do you? There's a D2X-XL group with a chat room already.

I'm honestly not sure what's up. He's joined the chat before, and he joined the chat moments after he posted that.

What's your name in Steam? I just accepted a few friend invites, and I couldn't put a name to the person. I accepted everyone's Steam invites though, so just start a chat with me on there and I can invite you. Or just search "Descent 2" in the Steam Community and look for the D2X-XL one.

I crash every time I enter the mine. This is due to experimentation D2X-XL was going through a while back, and I had forgotten what I was doing since then. Now I have no idea how to fix it, and I don't have enough time to work on it. =/ Maybe it'll come to me some day.

It's not that dysfunctional at all. I screwed something up myself. I could reinstall it and it'd work fine, but I don't have a whole lot of time to work on that. I customized it perfectly to my liking. I just havn't figured out what I messed up yet. It's not like anyone else crashes every time they enter the mine ;) Other than that, it's just not very popular. Descent is a hard game to pick up and learn if you hadn't played it since the beginning.

Hello guys, OK, let me know if anyone is available over the next few days. I've never played over the Internet because up 'til now our Internet connection was too slow. We just got broadband installed. It's not symmetrical, but it will probably be OK!

One problem I have is that I have never figured out how to send "taunt" messages to other players!

I'm in Costa Rica, GMT-6.

Just press F9 through F12 to send taunts. Hit F8 to send a custom message (chat).
