Next Game of the CENTURY Event.

Postby Beltran » Sun Dec 13, 2009 12:50 am

Ok the game of the decade was a blast. I think we all had a good time. Lets try for another one this month.

December 19th has potential for me.
December 26th is right out.... Will be traveling.
January 2nd is also right out... Family event.

3pm was a good start time, yes? I know we have German and Aussie time to consider. Should we start sooner? 12pm Est? 9am est?
...going down again!

I think that today's game time (3PM EST) was fair enough, and also that's the time that fits Diedel the best ;)

I'll try to make it to the next big event as long it's a decent time.

Any later would be good for me just because i usually work on Saturdays and the Aussie's would love us for it too :D

Not MUCH later obviously but possible 4PMEST??
If it were to be 4PM I'd have a MUCH easier time coming to it even if I were to work (I work in the very early mornings >.<)

I figured 3 things should happen before our next big game:

1: Me, Karx, and Sykes do rigorous testing of the netplay code and large games.
2: Karx fixes the bugs we find.
3: I finish Team Death XL (should be a lot easier after finals are over)

I was thinking the week after Christmas/early January, and it doesn't have to be on a Saturday. As for time, it seems pushing it forward an hour or two would be the best idea.

@Poke: I'll do it, so long as you don't make me explain how to set up VPN again :P

Also, the 19th is completely out for me unless it's earlier than 1700 EST, and even then it's only a "Probably". I don't think I can make anything that's on a weekend. Christmas season, and all. I vote that everyone should just hang out in the Steam group chat whenever they're available to play. If enough people are there at once, we can start a game ;)

good point as long as it somewhat revolves around karx being there considering we DO want him to fix all of the bugs ;)

But yes this month is kind of a poor one to have another massive MP game in towards the end of it.
I am also DEFINITELY for hanging out in steam chat for enough players though :D

I don't usually have anything lined up on Saturdays until much closer to the time - the only question is "will I be awake". 19th I should be available, but the 26th I will be travelling back from Texas so not likely.

I think that getting a habit of being around in the Steam D2X-XL chat is a good idea for all who are looking for online D2X-XL matches. That way people will always be able to get a game up and more can drop in if they show up.

Let Steam be our troll-free KALI. ;)

Oh? Where in TX and what for?

I'm original from Texas. Garland to be more specific.

Can't wait for late March. I'll be visiting family! :D

Near Amarillo - I have relatives (through an uncle) that live there, and I'll be visiting them over Christmas.

So 4pm is a good start time?

Could go 5pm but +6 = 11pm for Karx? He is a night person but... his call. This would be 8AM Sunday for our Aussie brothers?

Actually if we just start at 4pm we know we will get more folks on as the evening progresses.. either would work fine.

I also insist on having one old map. :P We only play them for 15 min anyway so it should not kill anyone. :)
