Well, when I really want something I don't forget it even if it takes years for the right opportunity. I have wanted a kantele for my whole life so last year I built one :P . Now i'm learning to play it. I've listened to a band called Swallowtail literally since I was born and last year I went and danced to them. Twice! Same holds true for that 3D cockpit. I haven't worked on it for a while now (I also haven't heard from Lambdatorus since I sent him the pieces) but I haven't forgotten it and it will eventually be finished one way or another. And I've been eying those hammer guys ever since I first noticed them in the list. They're pretty funny :D

Great news everyone! Give the man a big hand      After a couple of nights' hard work Karx11erx has gotten the D2X-XL multiplayer code and game tracker working. He hosted a brief session last night and I was able to join him with no fuss at all for a quick death or two.

This means that for anyone interested it's game-on. I am hoping to get a session in sometime tomorrow, Sunday March 29. If you're available let me know and I'll see you in the mines.

Neat, I will see if I can get a chance to get in the game tomorrow. Most probably, yes. :)

Perfect! That's 10:00pm for me. I'll check back here around then. I've also been in the Descent: Underground chat periodically (just pledged to their Kickstarter) so I'll look for you there too. What kind of game would you like and how would you like to communicate while we play?

As I may just have the time to play only a quick match, I think normal Anarchy would be best.
Do you have an account in Steam? as I would prefer to communicate through its chat service.

I do have a Steam account and I'm a member of the D2X-XL Steam group. I've never used Steam chat before but I'm sure it's easy enough. Do you have a map preference? I've downloaded all of Karx's maps from the D2X-XL website and I have the descent ranger packs but I'm not familiar with them yet.

As for the maps, I specially like Diedel's Playground and Styx, but if we don't get other players to join us tonight I think Diedel's Playground is better for two players.

What's your Steam name to look for you on the D2X-XL group and add you as a friend?

MiKro TombZ and Unreal D2 are two great levels for a small number of players.

I think I have all of those maps so we can pick one tonight. My steam name should also be Yoshimitsu.

OK, will add you then.
BTW, I may get delayed a bit (9:30 to 10:00pm on my timezone) as I'm gonna see a movie with the family now, but I will try be in the game for sure!

A bit later is fine for me Pumo. I'm quite the night-owl. I think I've been calculating our relative times wrong. I don't think you use daylight savings time which means that even though I'm at GMT-5, at this time of year I'm actually 2 hours ahead of you so I'll see you around my 11:30-midnight.

I've got the steam chat open. Do you use voice? I'm not sure if I can without a headset but I'm willing to try with just a mic.

We did it! Pumo, Sirius, and I got in an anarchy match on Deidel's Playground. I got slaughtered and had a great time doing it. We were joined near the end by a new friend, ShadowHyena. Welcome SH! :thumb:

Puma and I will most likely try to play again next week. Anyone who would like to join us would be more than welcome and in the meantime I will probably be free most nights this week except Saturday.

Thanks for a great time guys. See you in the mines again soon. :D

Was nice of him to show up actually, kept me busy enough that the game opened up a bit

I'm not sure when/whether I'll be able to play again this week - between finishing up taxes, fixing up some DLE problems that are impeding work for a couple of people, and preparing for a co-op tournament with a deadline of next Sunday, my "free" time is pretty well booked...
