Hello all,

I realize I'm a bit late to the party, but I thought I might see if anything was still going on.

Where are you posting the new 1.14 beta Karx11erx?

Is the game still on?
Is it already over (I'm not sure what the times are because whenever I switch a page on the forum it tells me that I'm in a new timezone)?
for me right now it's 2:50 EST which is 7:50 GMT

Probably in the same place as the first one, I guess.

On the other hand, I should check before I say things like that. The old link doesn't go anywhere, and my "URL guessing" skills aren't good enough either.

I have already removed the link to the old beta, as I am currently preparing a new one and there's no point in ppl d/ling the old one and reporting bugs I have already fixed.

Multiplayer in the D2X-XL Beta4 works. Just to let everyone know. All bugs are not ironed out yet, but I have had no trouble playing over UDP/IP whether it be on one machine (two instances running) or multiple machines over a secure 192.168 network. I could not get two of my machines to join via the tracker, but you don't even need that if Hamachi is used.

For those of you who don't use hamachi, I'm going to make a post about it. If everyone here uses it, it will ease the process of matchmaking by a huge amount. It emulates a local network across the internet, so games that work only with, or better with IPX or local TCP/UDP/IP are much easier to use. It only works for Windows, to my knowledge.

Sorry, I know all about Hamachi and what it does.......

BUT why by-pass all the work Diedel has put into the Tracker by using another program?

The Tracker is there for a reason.

We're better off helping Diedel fix it then to just leave it broke. :|
