Thanks, the extended family gathered at tea time. I got an Aperture Science steel lunchbox (sweet!) and some 3d movies for our new tv.

Pretty cool!

If you happen to have some photo of your Aperture Science lunchbox I would love to see it!
That's such a great gift!

We should all post photos of the aperture science stuff we've got for various birthdays in various years. Weyrman isn't the only one!
But those of us who aren't Weyrman should use a different thread.
Happy birthday! Um... here, pretend to have this new imaginary book by Anne McCaffrey.

...Ok I sound corny, don't I?
I actually have finally found some new books by her, or half-by her, although they're not set on Pern (I guess they could still be set in that universe though, since we don't really know anything about the universe outside Pern...).

which McCaffrey books have you got? :?: I have nearly all of them except for her Acorna series, of which I only have the first one.

Here is my Aperture Science Lunchbox

my son also bought me these for Christmas.

The larger turret has a red eye led and speaks a few suitable turret phrases :D

Well I got it from the library.
Catalyst, co-written by McCaffrey and Elizabeth Ann Scarborough (so, half by her :P).

A very... odd story. But I like odd. And she does odd well. It's interesting (well, not really interesting, kind of predictable honestly) that it has the same name and a similar premise to a really old novel I got during the christmas holidays (from a used bookstore -- I love used bookstores) by Alan Dean Foster.
I want that turret! But this post has too many brackets and that's definitely relevant for some reason.

That is awesome. I don't have any money or spare USB ports but by the time I have one I can probably arrange the other...
