You don't have the resources to make another Descent game. You haven't found anybody who'd pay for a license to create another Descent game. I don't know of any other case of a game publisher behaving as much like a dick as you here, ridiculous zombie of a once renowned company you are, stubbornly refusing to die already.
Sol Contingency will lift off and fly - with you, or without you.
Enjoy your five minutes of fame - or should I say: shame? - the press is giving you right now for your spiteful action in this case.
You SolC guys can use any D2X-XL game assets you like. Take a look at the Phoenix and Wolf ship models: I think they are both quite cool looking.

Btw, I do not believe that ominous "daugther company" of Interplay ever had an interest in publishing another Descent game. I am rather having the suspicion that all they were looking for was a solid proof for copyright infringement. Waiting to the last second before a public SolC release before trying to shut it down is just adding insult to injury. What a bunch of complete and utter asshats that folks must be.

Re: About Sol Contingency...
It's really sad when you think about it.
Interplay wanted a test build. Got it, and probably shit themselves at the awesomeness!
So they put the brakes on the dev group for coming up with a better project than them!

Maybe hiring competent people is against their religion.
We live in a universe... It's distracting
