Favorite gun?

Postby pokeman7452 » Wed Feb 25, 2009 4:55 pm

What is your favorite gun? It can be for any reason (power, looks, sentimental value, ..........simplicity of it's code), just post what it is.

I'd have to say the Helix for sentimental value, back before I could aim.
Helix + duddaboo (bouncing weaps) + wildfire (rapid fire) + lpnlizard (homing weaps) = a great way to clear rooms! (a.k.a. the lag gun)

EDIT:
Well, that sucks, I wanted to add:
Their own weapons, "Hey, you with the phoenix, I'm over in front of the wall!"
but there is a limit of 10 poll options.

This just brought a question to my mind.

Are Germans better at pronouncing "Gauss" than everyone else is? I'm pretty sure the rate of people that get it right is less than half...

The Guass Cannon of course hehe it's bangs sound awesome and when you hit something with it heh well it huts a lot, also fun to tease you enemy with short bursts at a time , and when it get's very crowded just crunch away with multiple bursts :)

As energy weapons go, The Fusion Cannon the sweet sensation of the epic purple gew, hehe it just makes any Descent game a true classic. 8)

For me my favorite is Helix mainly for how it looks, although it also has a sentimental value. (Just i don't use it all the time 'cause it reduces visibility and drains a lot of energy!)

My second favorite is Phoenix just because it feels so powerful and i like how it bounces! (and it's similar to plasma)

And my third place is the classic general-purpose Plasma. You can always ask for a bit of help from your good old plasma friend as it's simple and effective.

I just pronounce "Guass" like "Gaw-s" just because that's what I grew up saying.

I had trouble deciding between the vulcan and spreadfire, so I left it up to a coinflip and spreadfire won :D

Pronunciation notwithstanding, the number of people who can spell Gauss right is low.

It's not even in the English language, I don't think. Firefox's spell check doesn't recognize it, so I didn't know how to spell it.

It's named after a famous German mathematician. In German it's pronounced like "house".

Which is why I was hoping Germans, at least, could reliably get it right! :D

I love the Gauss too. There's something extra violent about its sound. For the same reason, plasma is my second favorite.
