Some support for D2X-XL (and me) would be welcome here: http://www.interplay.com/forums/viewtop ... =42&t=1396

It is interesting how the tactics have changed from just spreading misinformation and bad talk to open lies.

C'mon guys, smack that troll's head a good bit. :hammer:

I was making my reply but it seems chris locked already the topic (and that may be better).

Well, so if Bubba was not enough now KW and Obi have personal anti D2X-XL agendas. What a bullshit. This is making me feel tired of all this. :P

Obi-Wan/Gold Leader had the most bizarre u-turn I've ever seen in this community, by the way.

omg ok

edit:
forum is locked.

D2X-XL is solid up and running. If you can't follow instructions of course it will be buggy.
And I agree with foil:
http://www.interplay.com/forums/viewtop ... =42&t=1397

Foil wrote:As a veteran Descenter, modder, and community member, it really irks me that some people here have broken into D2X-XL and DxX-Rebirth "camps" treating each other with animosity and blatant disrespect.

Begging Fallouts®Chris' forbearance, I have something to say to those engaging in the 'drama':

GROW UP.

Honestly, some of the dialogue I've seen in here is starting to read like the inane arguments made on a 3rd grade playground. What is wrong with you guys?! Are you so ungrateful that you have forgotten that Zico and Diedel have provided us with the benefits of their work free of charge, and using their own time and money?

I don't care who said what, which version gave you problems, or why you think you have reason to bash someone on a public forum.

  • If you enjoy D2X-XL, then play it. (I do.)

  • If you enjoy DxX-Rebirth, then play it. (I do.)

  • If you have a technical problem, suggestion, or complaint, take it up in the appropriate forum (XL/Rebirth).

  • If you think you can make a better Descent compatibility mod package, then do it.

  • If you appreciate the value of freely-distributed software, then make a donation.

  • Otherwise, keep your mouth shut and just enjoy the fact that we are fortunate enough to have these resources.

Personally, I'd like to thank both creators for their work. Very few classic games have such a dedicated community of players. Even fewer have the benefit of a choice between two amazing packages keeping the game alive.

[To Fallouts®Chris: I hope responses in here will be more civilized than some of the other recent threads. However, if not, I'd appreciate a swift thread-lock.]

Wow...just wow.

Last I checked, Kaizerwolf was making levels and Obi was showing off his proud collection. Its saddening to see a change of heart like that. :(

and it all started over....a bug? *sigh*

@ Capt. - and this would make us look better how?

An eye for an eye isn't the right way to handle things.

IMO, Foil nailed it right on the head. ;)

:thumb: to Foil.

I have only ever been seeing him posting very reasonable and good stuff.

As far as Bubbafoul goes: If he keeps acting like he does, he'll solve the problem he is himself sooner or later.

He's just really really dumb. I don't think that's his fault. In fact I feel sorry for him.
