if I was you I'd do myself a favor and remove all foul and aggressive language from that reply to Woolie Wool. He has his opinion and you have yours. 3dfx cards were great at their time and therefore hold a place in our hearts, but there has been a lot of technical progress since then. Don't take it personal.

I think that his statement about D2X-XL is rather unreasonable, but if he doesn't like D2X-XL he is free not to use it.

Well It's the thing he said about the 3dfx cards, I did alot of work to get that running in rebirth because there was alot of ask for it it took me a few good weeks but it runs fine as things go now thx to some ex-3dfx programmers I know that could help me with that program, rebirth isn't that complicatedlike XL is, but that is because XL has so much more in it and hey both run fine and I like both projects but his post at me wasn't profession more like royal sadness if you'd ask me rofl.

they are descent fans and I'm a Descent fan as a 3dfx one people should be respected from all sides, posts like throw away your 3dfx card would always trigger a flame war when I am around rofl. I could also say throw away your old game and play Crysis [bad game, but as example ] , if you see what I mean it just reads kinda irritating to see pawns post like that rofl.

But yeah I edited that poast and called his post an unloyal one , it is neater that way afterall it was rather unloyal haha

If I was you I'd prepare an article for cases like that, explaining the role and significance of 3dfx and their hardware even for today, telling them that these cards are precious classics and should be looked at with respect even if today's hardware is much more advanced. He wouldn't sink a 1930 Rolls Royce Phantom II in a lake just because today's cars are better and faster, would he?

What stands for me DXX_Rebith has it's fun so does XL I love both projects alot Rebirth for the 3dfx cards and XL for the new gen ones, thoughI do play XL alot more the past time because alot of interesting changes took place and it runs very good too, the improvements in XL are just more interesting to me at the moment, I don't think Rebirth can change much if no high res textures will be added.
