I think I will be sued ...

Looks like I will be sued soon, probably for computer terrorism or so. :lolol:

Swazook on DBB.net wrote:I've posted over at the Rebirth forum asking if they can develop a level editor that is stable. I have found the Rebirth exe to be extremely more stable than the D2X-XL version. In fact, I haven't had a single problem with it.

I wish you a good time on the other forums and with your preferred Descent related software. I really don't want jerks like you, who cannot be arsed to post a bug report because they prefer to bitch about it on other places, around on my place using my software.

So you are officially banned from my forum, and if you have the slightest sense of decency (which I have reason to doubt, given your behavior) you will not use D2X-XL or DLE-XP anymore.

Kind regards

I'd love to know how it can possibly damage the video card or the display, let alone both.

Ironically, I've had more problems with Rebirth than XL (Rebirth crashes when I change menu music, or when the menu music finishes playing, a couple of times it crashed randomly in-game, nothing major but still...) Plus I wasn't able to get Rebirth working in the first place until long after I was already playing XL.
I haven't had an XL crash in months unless I was actively trying to crash it.

What? You are actively trying to crash D2X-XL?

Wait, WAIT! :hammer:

j/k

If you find ways to make D2X-XL freeze or crash, please post bug reports about them with as detailled info as possible, and please attach your player files (and savegame if needed). That would help me to eliminate such bugs.

I have received a mail by that guy, and that mail makes me want to (re-) state that in my eyes talking bad about a program that is offered for free and where such a lot of work has gone into as e.g. D2X-XL and DLE-XP in other places instead of having the decency to post a bug report or support request and having the patience to wait for them being processed is a sign of at least an immature, and in some cases a low character - so much more if such people only cover up their incompetence with their unfounded complaints (like a program having damaged the hardware).

When I read stuff like a statement that is said to having been made by Einstein comes to my mind: "The universe and human foolishness have no limits - but I am not sure about the universe".

Well, let's move on to something more productive. :)

I did post it (TEW level 25), but you couldn't reproduce it (and I think it's more a quirk of my computer). No one else has had it (as far as I know) since I first encountered it a year ago.

Looks like the guy has found the place and companions that suit his character.

This strongly reminds me of a fable by Aesop.

It looks like the forum ban has been more than justified. Since I always give a second chance, the guy can have the ban lifted from him if he removes the slander about me and D2X-XL he has posted elsewhere and apologizes as publicly as he has been slandering.

Honestly I think he's gone too far now. Practically every post he made on the DBB has some veiled insult to you or slams D2X-XL (directly or indirectly).

The DBB is full of mongoloids anyway, I'm not sure why you even read it. The Rebirth forums are actually a player community (and I still don't go there). The DBB is just full of people who used to be players who need somewhere to repost the latest braindead correspondence they've trawled up from some chain letter or Fox News, and whine about how their life sucks and it's all the government's fault.

Could not be better said Ben.
That's precisely the reason why I'm not on the DBB that much anymore.

Always more than any other sub-forum, the most active is the 'Ethics and Commetary' one, so actually there's almost no talk about Descent goin' there.

:lolol: @ Ben.

I had been pointed there because Swazook had first been posting here. Otherwise I don't read the DBB anymore myself (don't even have a bookmark for them in my browser). There's really nothing Descent relevant going on there.
