Dear beta testers,
please grab D2X-XL v1.15.73a

Installing. This time, with a completely fresh install and profile. Hopefully, no random crashes like my old copy!
Could you include a change log so I know what to look for in particular?

There's a file "release notes.txt" that gets extracted in your Descent folder when installing D2X-XL.

Doh! I forgot to check the forums yesterday
. I feel really bad because I am right now heading off for a class, but I'll test when I get back. Don't forget to folow procedure
and the checklist
, Sykes. Ignore the trigger and light testing levels for now.

Most important stuff to test is all physics and AI related things - also while in a menu or in the automap. Physics ticks should always advance properly there, too (@ 40 fps).

I will be going through
-Finish a level in D2:CS including a secret level. -=CLEARED=-
-Test automap. -=CLEARED=-
-Save/load a game. -=CLEARED=-
I will also go through anything else multiplayer-related when enough people gather in the chat room. I posted an announcement on Steam saying that a test was underway and to join the chat room to help out. I'll see how well that works.
I already found some minor issues though. The instructions were kind of hard to understand. Do I make a report on SF.net AND make a thread about each bug? Or do I reply to this thread about each bug I find? Or do I only post in this forum about bugs that are severe?
EDIT: Removed the trigger level test from list. Removed "Change every setting" as that will take a while. If I finish, I will post the results.

We don't have a trigger testing level yet, you can skip that one.

Make a bug report on SF.net. If the bug is major (gameplay ruining), post the bug here also. If others encounter this (major) bug, the test is a fail.

So what if I find a bug but I can't figure out how to reproduce it correctly, therefore preventing me from reporting it. Do I ask about it here and see if someone can help me figure it out?
Also, I edited my above post showing what I have completed.

You can report it anyway.

Right before I submitted the report, something in my head clicked and I think I might have found out what causes the bug. I'll delay the report until I figure it out.
