Please rate or review D2X-XL on Sourceforge.net!

Postby karx11erx » Thu Sep 03, 2009 1:05 pm

Sourceforge.net now allows visitors to rate and review projects. The important thing is that you do not need to have a Sourceforge.net account to rate or review a project.

Currently D2X-XL has received 4 positive and 2 negative ratings (the bad ones rather likely having been given by some of the D2X-XL hating trolls).

So please go to the D2X-XL project on Sourceforge.net and rate it by clicking on one of the thumb images displayed to the right of the page (I hope you will chose the blue thumb ... ;)).

That's interesting: The project got 4 new "thumbs up", but also three new "thumbs down" since I posted this. So apparently it's not just fans of D2X-XL who read this forum on a daily basis ...

Well, please keep rating the project, and if you like it click the blue thumbs up icon. In the long run the fans will form the overwhelming majority.

What does it say about the D2X-XL and DXX-Rebirth communities that people crap in the D2X-XL project on SF.net while nobody does it with Rebirth?

:thumb: to the D2X-XL crowd. You're a bunch of friendly people. :)

It's a hair raising beginner's mistake to offer a rating feature without a method of intervention, without taking measures to prohibit double posts, and without the possibilityto disable that feature altogether.

Apart from that does it say a lot when people start to spam a place like Sourceforge.

Interesting, there were two complaints that D2X-XL is not open source.

Isn't the source code right there in SourceForge?

Most complaints made there in the disguise of a review claim untrue things. The best of these I saw was claiming D2X-XL was Descent 3 and giving it a bad rating for that ...

Funny. On the very page where you make those comments, if you scroll down you can see every time Diedel commits something to the repository. 2 clicks, and you can see the exact lines of code he changed right there on the site. I'd call that "Open Source" without even knowing the definition.

Poor souls :[ they speak without thinking twice.

*Thumbs down* the new Descent 3

Geezz, I'm 99.9% sure on the person who said this!

All I have to say is. Descent 3 has NOTHING on D2X-XL!

D2X-XL is everything Descent 3 should have been! :bounce:
