Whatever is outside the *.hog you can do whatever you like. The hog should already have the descent.ham inside (it has to be named as such) It's that DFW forgot to rename the useless-only-to-be-archived .ham outside the .hog, to lostlvls.ham.
:P
The mission is playable as is. I would recommend renaming the stray descent.ham to lostlvls.ham, to avoid any unwanted accidents like replacing your original descent.ham. These stray files are left in there by DFW, for anyone to edit them I guess (though considering that the editing would require re-wrapping them in the .hog anyways, makes it totally unnecessary in my opinion), so you might as well delete them.

Ahem, just as a side note and to make things clear, DarkFlameWolf is a 'she', not 'he'. :P ;)

It's the best-kept non-secret in the Descent community.

I don't think so. She makes it pretty obvious if you're actually looking.

Don't know which of the comments has the highest order of humor. Alter-foxes is a very suspicious one and kark's merely second order. (completely off-topic)

It can be kept as well as can be - it's still a non secret.

Check your logic.

Hmm, I was looking for something more subtle alter.
:P
I believe D is right, since you seem to deny that it is NOT obvious which totally agrees with sirius' statement. You assumed an extra denial then. [/more OT]

Darn I lose. To Karx of all people :D.

But wait! The fox isn't done!
The fox who thinks he is clairvoyant predicts that Kakhome plans to vote for a Conservative-leaning party in his country's next election.
He also predicts that Kakhome is a human.
And he predicts that he could beat both Kakhome and Hawk in a D2X-XL anarchy game, but that he couldn't beat Karx, Sirius, or DarkFlameWolf.

Yes that is what you think it is.

You lose ... again.

You would certainly beat me in a Descent multiplayer game. I am a bad player.

Thanks for the flowers though.

Flowers for the grave of your blown-up pilot's corpse.
And I'm on a losing streak so I lose again. Because I said so.

Back to the topic as if nothing just happened, I think many of these missions are good, but not worth 80% (if 100% is, say, Obsidian or The Enemy Within). Phobos Encounter is good, but the geometry isn't that much better than the Parallax levels, and definitely not comparable to Vertigo. Hydro (though it is one of my favourites), objectively, only crosses the 80% line because of the neat ideas for its last few levels and the fact that it's the only *long* mission I know of to not put a boss on the last level. And because all the levels fit the redbook music so well :D.

To be fair, a lot of male gamers use avatars of female anime/game characters, so you can't just assume it's a female from someone's forum profile =P It's not like new members read the bios of everyone on the forums either, hehe.

That Wolfie is female is stated about once every two months somewhere.

Her avatar usually shows a wolf btw - very female, isn't it?
