no way... your going to port a ham editor to 64 bit?! and get rid of the limitations like "you can't edit this variable because its cheating"?

speculating.

In my speculation, It would also include more options like light trails, smoke, and tracer effects for the 64 bits version.

And also the installation package includes Polytron32 that you might try to make it compatible with 64 bits

No, I just wanted to remove a few obsolete custom models from a mission.

You can have as many nice custom models as you want. Just build D2X-XL missions and create ASE models for them. ;)

Diedel may work wonders, but he can't magically turn binaries into new versions :D
You need the source code for that, and that was never released for any of the Descent Network tools. Since they're also written in something like VB5, it'd only be of marginal use anymore anyway (not very easy to port that to modern platforms because the API will have changed - it'd be like porting DLE-XP to GTK). The data format specs are available, so it'd technically be possible to write tools from scratch to do this - if anyone felt the need. I've just never really run into a "killer project" that made me want to write a HAM editor to work on it.

(I do have an HXM build script thanks to the amount of tedium Enemy Within put me through, though...)

I could build a ham editor into DLE rather easily, but what for?

For easy mod-customization of standard Descent missions I guess. It's a pretty straight forward way to do it.

I am not going to do more to support creation of more boring standard Descent missions.

You want mods? You want custom models? Make D2X-XL missions. :)
