Well, as people do not even seem to use any of the other multiplayer game modes and enhancements (like CTF+, offering proper CTF gaming), there doesn't seem to be much of a point in adding more gameplay mechanics nobody's gonna use ...

I think it would be very cool (if I could play multiplayer.) The only thing I would add would be, maybe in dle-xp, the level builder could define which weapons each team member has, so that the different "classes" would have different weapons depending on which level the game is on. I think that would make it a lot more interesting (players having to use different strategies depending on which level they're playing, instead of having a basic set of strategies that never change.) It sounds a lot like chess, (or Magic: the Gathering), because there'd be more thinking involved than just "dodge and shoot". If I am ever able to play multiplayer, I'll definetely play this first!
We live in a universe... It's distracting

If it's any consolation, I play Descent 2 with my dad and brothers a whole lot, at least once every day. We mess with all the game types, especially monsterball, and we do coop on tons of custom maps. So just 'cause people don't do it over the internet, doesn't mean it won't get use. I'll definitely use this! It seems like an awesome idea!
