How much work would it take to add HRTF support to D2X-XL audio rendering? (I didn't make it a feature request as I'm guessing way too much.) I recently added a HD audio upgrade to my PC and it has made a huge difference in the way music sounds, revealing loads of details that previously were inaudible. It would be nice if D2X-XL could get HRTF support to get the most of good audio setups... (By "good", I presume any half decent pair of headphones would do for gaming.)
Here's an open source HRTF library, not idea how easy it would be to use.

Re: HRTF support?
D2X-XL already has audio buffer troubles, I'm not sure adding a bunch more audio computations would be a good idea even if it could be implemented without too much work.

Re: HRTF support?
It doesn't have audio buffer troubles for me. There was a bug, but that has been fixed a couple of weeks ago. Make sure to set max channels high enough in audio options.

Re: HRTF support?
I believe it's at the highest but I'll check. The troubles certainly aren't as troublesome as they used to be, I have noticed that.
EDIT: Yep, it's been set to the highest setting since the day it first started working.

Re: HRTF support?
So what kind exactly are these "troubles"?

Re: HRTF support?
Just the occasional crackling popping and stuttering, like I said it used to be a lot worse. Basically what you'd expect from buffer underruns.
I can definitely live with it the way it is now, don't feel any obligation.
