FL Studio's role in my D2X-XL

Postby Capt. Blackwood » Sat Oct 04, 2008 4:34 am

I just got done morphing the midi files from D1 and D2 in FL Studio (Fruity Loops and Toontrack's EZDrummer)

If ya'll want them for playlist material...just ask.

Some parts were weaker then expected. But i still have the origional FL project files. I'm also using the new Superior Drummer 2.0...and am learning even more to push FL farther...

Sure, request copies, make suggestions...post your ideas here too. I'm new to music production...but i've got a ton of ideas... 8)

I've got two formats available .ogg and .wma (for those who want it on their portable media players) I will upload upon request.

I downloaded the midis from The Descent Network...they're exe and needed to be played with.

The Mixes are V1...I'm thinking about going back and doing them again.

It seems that almost every use here that uses FL has made some re-mix/re-mastering of D1/D2 Songs! (me included) :lolol:

I will try to re-post my remastering of Level 4 music as soon as i can :P

And, of course, it's always nice to hear new versions of our favorite Descent songs! I voted for 'mixed' ;)

Sounds good, except the drums, they are horrible in some parts,
especially in "Credits 1" and "Descent 1",
the drums don't match the feeling of the music.

Here is a sample made by other people, the drums should sound this way:

I'll be refining these as i notice the issues and see fit to correct them. I'm also learning about Music composition and theory... I bet i violated some terms :P.

Fixes will be a while....things are picking up in college.

oh and Puma if you want "mixed" try my level 8 and 13...I think i got something there. ;)

BTW...thanks for all opinions and comments thus far, positive or negative. Being new to mixing and mastering is...different from rewriting html coding :)

Thanks :P

The site timed out, and when I tried to re-download it said the "download limit has been exceeded."
