well what settings should I reduce? And one thing that i have been wondering,if you played anthology, did it take you a very long time to load the lightmaps?

My computer is too weak to worry about anything over basic lighting, so I don't have light maps enabled. I bet it would take forever and a day for my computer to do it. I think Anthology comes with light maps pre-loaded. I could be wrong on this though.

I don't know what would be best to lower. I don't know what all of them do, because again, I don't use them. That's just the standard procedure when a game isn't giving you the FPS you want. Lower the effects/quality or lower the resolution. Perhaps try turning particle effects to medium. See if that helps.

I think smoke stresses it big time, while you don't really need it for light-weight. And dunno how "basic" shadows are implemented but generally they eat away resources as well.

Particle soft blending can slow a weaker system down very much. Disable it by reducing the render quality from "highest" to "high".

Well anyways, maybe since it is still fully playable, maybe I shouldnt be greety about the Frame rate, because it doesnt screw up the any of the gameplay(I can servive) and still fun with all the effects with barely any big problems. To be honest,I dont know why I even brought this up,yesterday,I was playing XL for like 4 and a half hours,I have found it to be alot of fun and I still do think so.I didnt even get Distracted by the decrease in the FPS.Silly me :)

50 fps with everything enabled (and maybe even cranked up) isn't bad at all for D2X-XL. ;)

I play most of my games at less than 30.
We live in a universe... It's distracting

I beat you with 10 at particle peaks for XL.
:bounce:
Other than that, since the time of Unreal, I have grew up with preferring visual fidelity over performance, so I too go with that.
