[Linux] D2X-XL fails to start unless compiled with debug

I have the data and everything in the right place and start it up via `d2x-xl -datadir /usr/share/d2x-xl` but immediately get returned to the prompt with no error message or anything. However, compiling with --enable-debug seems to start it up as needed.

My compilation procedure is as follows (release 1.17.87):
