[Linux] D2X-XL fails to start unless compiled with debug

Postby Schala » Fri Oct 24, 2014 5:39 am

I have the data and everything in the right place and start it up via `d2x-xl -datadir /usr/share/d2x-xl` but immediately get returned to the prompt with no error message or anything. However, compiling with --enable-debug seems to start it up as needed.

My compilation procedure is as follows (release 1.17.87):

Code: Select all

7z x -y "d2x-xl-makefiles.7z"
find . -type f -exec dos2unix {} \;
chmod +x autogen.sh
CFLAGS="-march=x86-64 -mtune=generic -O2 -pipe -fstack-protector-strong --param=ssp-buffer-size=4"
CXXFLAGS="-march=x86-64 -mtune=generic -O2 -pipe -fstack-protector-strong --param=ssp-buffer-size=4 -fno-strict-aliasing"
./autogen.sh --prefix=/opt/d2x-xl
chmod +x configure
./configure --prefix=/usr --enable-release --disable-sdltest --with-sharepath=/usr/share/d2x-xl
make install
mkdir -p -m757 /var/cache/d2x-xl
