32 bit exe no longer supported in new version of windows? (error 0xc000007b)

I reinstalled windows after the holidays, updating to Windows 10 Pro and shedding a lot of legacy stuff. D2X-XL is safely on a separate drive (B:) while windows is on C: so it was untouched by formatting. Well D2X-XL started doing this when trying to open it

Image

d2x-xl.exe - Application Error

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b).
Click OK to close the application

I did the following:
- Reinstalled D2X-XL from the win installer (1.18.74)
- Checked windows update (already fully updated)
- installed latest .net framework (already was)
- installed C++ 2010 Redist
- reinstalled direct X

DLE-XP still works and so does the 64 bit exe under the x64 folder, but the one in the main folder (which I assume is the 32 bit version) does not. Windows 10 ran this exe before under my old windows install, but now it doesn't. Either I'm still missing a component or the latest windows 10 just doesn't run it anymore? :think:

At least the 64 bit exe in the x64 folder seems to work so if all else fails, just use that

D2X-XL 32-bit version works on Windows 10 64-bit as long as you have the correct DLLs on D2X-XL folder.
Check if this works: https://www.mediafire.com/file/obmpku20 ... b.zip/file
