:wallbash: Grrr, my bad, I was checking level 11 and I noticed I forgot to add an important secret section!
It's pretty small fortunately, so it will be done pretty quickly.

On another note, I must make a correction.
After some changes on level order I made about a year ago, Chemical T. Labs and Secrets of the Past level 1 pieces (from Alter-Fox and Darkhorse respectively) will be used on level 13 (not 12).
My 'Feeding Halls' level will come before the 'Saturn Ammo Depot' on the new order.

So I will start with the actual Level 12 pretty soon, that will feature an intersting theme/texture scheme. ;)

I will also post the new level order on another post later.

Indeed Irontower, I'm very passionate about my project!

Unfortunately I had some problems during the last month that prevented me to actively work on Pumo Mines (A Motherboard failure, a clean OS install, re-installing and recovering all my stuff and programs, and also lots of things to do for my job, etc :coding: ).

But thankfully everything went back to normal and now I'm able to continue working on Pumo Mines.

Hopefully none of the levels got destroyed.
That's only supposed to happen when we see the endlevel screens. For some reason. 8)

I guess Pumi's so cool the mines just want to blow up behind him as he flies away. They're all auditioning for the explody building parts in one of those movies. You know what kind of movies... they're ubiquitous all through the universe, even the Hosakos have them.

Fortunately I have several backups of my Pumo Mines stuff so I never lose it (I use external HDD, USB stick, DVD and Cloud service with copies of my levels, models, textures, documents, etc).

Hahaha, yeah, I know what kind of movies you're refering to.

Massive overkill backups.

I do it too, though. It gets pretty hard to lose stuff when you have five different ways to recover it.

Indeed they do! lol

I just bought a new 1TB HDD to replace both 500GB disks I have (and planning to buy a 240GB SSD for the OS and programs), and guess what?
After transfering my files (including Pumo Mines' ones) from the old disk to the new, I stored the old disk in a safe place with the files in it, you know, *just in case*.
Paranoia too much? :P

Anyway, I advanced a bit more on Level 12, and also made a video that shows how Pumo Mines is goin' as for now.
It shows the current status of the levels, as well as many of the new textures, models, etc.

Re: Pumo Mines Thread

Postby Pumo » Fri Feb 05, 2016 4:42 am

I think I should post some news about the current Pumo Mines status.

Due to some health problems I had during the latest months of 2015, and lots of stuff going in and out in my life, I couldn't find the time to continue working on Level 12 as I would like to.

I had to travel several times to the capital city to get to the hospital I'm being attended, and to get an endoscopy.

During december I got the results of the endoscopy and a couple of biopsies taken from my stomach and duodenum. Fortunately I don't have anything serious, just a Congestive Gastritis.
I must still go to the gastroenterologist to follow an specific treatment and diet.

However, due to several accumulated stress (from years already) and the concern of how the results of the endoscopy and biopsy would be, I got into a crisis state!
I got a several anxiety disorder and I'm getting treated with trycyclic antidepressants and clonazepam up to today. :?

And adding all this up with the holidays, and that I'm (fortunately) getting more oportunities at my job, I almost got no time to resume work on Pumo Mines.

I'm in a much better situation as for now, and feeling mostly well! :bounce:
So I will try to resume work on Pumo Mines as soon as I can (I already made some advances on new textures and stuff recently ;) ).

I would really love to see some more level designers to volunteer to accelerate the level design progress, but fortunately I already got some help from various famous level designers for levels 8, 9, 10, 11 and 13. :)

Sorry to hear about that... It's always the worst when you're having physical and mental health problems at the same time.
Glad to hear you're feeling better now though.

Yeah, it sucks when both things collide. :thumbdn:

Hello everyone. In case everyone here is asking, yeap, the Pumo Mines project is still active but it's going very slow.

Fortunately, things on my life are getting better each time, on both on a personal and laboral side, but still, the lack of time to make levels is always present. :(

At my job I got new opportunities and although I'm not earning that much in the economical sense, I'm getting a great personal development and social opportunities, and I'm very happy as of lately, but I'm also very busy and with lots of work to do.

I want to see my Pumo Mines project getting fullfilled, but it's getting a bit harder to achieve that goal each day it passes.

But be asured that this is not dead, and I promise you will see something about the Pumo Mines project soon! :jump:

Hi Pumo,

good to hear you are doing better. I had already been asking myself recently whether there would ever be another update on Pumo Mines, and now you show up here and post one. :thumb:
