Trying to find a map I saw around here just a few days ago

Postby Red_5 » Mon Jan 23, 2012 5:29 pm

Can't remember if Sirius or Pumo is the author, all I know is I saw legitimate trees in the screenshot and I was like "nooooo......."

Now I can't find it. Can someone help me out?

Thanks!

Probably a mesh or something. D2x-xl supports those now.

Wolfie hit the nail, the Trees on the terrain of Level 3 of my Kartsal Mot. demo are actually meshes (static objects).

I found the tree models for free use on a webiste on the net (Can't recall the website, but I think I do have the name of the modeler and it's on the mission credits), then later I simplified them (reduced polygon number), textured and converted them to ASE. :)

I think it is about time for a few new "Galactic Events" (i.e. 12+ player anarchy and CTF+ games)?

I will prepare Wolfie's awesome new map Azure CATacombs for 16 players this week, and then we will try to get everybody into a few games, alright?

Yo Pumo,

how's it going with your epic, life spanning map building opus magnum? ;)

That sounds great to me!! :thumb:

EDIT: Oh yeah, Pumo Mines is goin' nicely. After struggling with some scripting tests, I managed to finish the scripting on Level 4a. :P

And I think soon I will have the time to end Level 4b
(and I've got also done some of the textures for the next levels)
