Well we never really made any dates to play. Nor did anyone make any suggestions... :?

The matter is brewing for this week. Date's still undecided.

Weekend's usually good. More free time. Dunno about the time zone though. I'm personally good with any (day and time) as I study most of the time. AUS, Sir, any particular preferences? (since it's still arbitrary :P)

I would prefer a Saturday. For a game of this nature, I'd be willing to sacrifice some sleep, on either end. I frequently get up early, and occasionally stay up late, so it's not big deal to do it on one more day. I'm in the central US [UTC -6]. At least until day-light savings(which I think is an abomination...), which is on the 11th of March. Then I'll be [UTC -5].

Ditto'd. So long as it's not early on M:TG Prerelease Saturday, in that case I'd be getting up early to go to that tournament instead :P.

Though, I'm not the hugest fan of CTF with a huge number of players. What makes those game modes fun for me is the feeling of teamwork, and at least from my experience in D3, when you've got more than six players it becomes too much of a free for all to really satisfy that.

Probably depends on the level.

...and the players.

I joined Sirius on endlessly idling XL's IRC channel on GameSurge. We might need it to gather up pilots, so we append the following info in announcing the event:
╔════════════════════╗
║server: irc.gamesurge.net    ║
║channel: #d2x-xl*           ║
╚════════════════════╝

*the channel does not appear in the roomlist, but it's there, just type the channel manually where you have to type it in your client. Or try mibbit (see earlier posts about IRC), or any other on the go solution.

It's set. Light your engines, sharpen your concs.

Why would you sharpen an explosive? Wouldn't there be a risk of it, oh, exploding in your face? Are you trying to eliminate the competition, Hawk?

Probably rather himself.

:away:

I think he wanted to say "arm". The German translation for that term is "scharf machen", which literally translates to "making sharp". Maybe Greek uses a similar way to express the process of arming a weapon.

Well look at that he is a Greek hawk.
I know only one word of Greek :P. But I do know one word of Greek.

I acutally thought he was talking about the way the missile looks kind of like an arrow or spear. But that's because it's a missile.

I don't even want to know what that word is. Especially if it's just one...
It's probably helping you take over the world...

Well now I'm going to tell you aren't I. :P
I go to the greek pavilion every year at folklorama because I love greek food so much. I cook loads of greek food too. And I remember seeing a greek food magazine here called OPA!!!!!!!! :joy: :laola: :joy: . I have trouble understanding what the word means though -- you know, having a feeling for it but you couldn't actually translate it. The one thing I'm sure of is it's not offensive or swear-y.

The odd part is that this means I know one more word of greek than the language that is actually half my heritage.

I'm not completely sure, but it's not 'Opa' in greek something equivalent to when you say 'cheers' when drinking, or 'kampai' in Japanese?

I suppose Hawkins might enlight us on this matter.
