I have seen the level in D2X-XL now - it's gorgeous!

A few things:

#1 The lightning effect objects in the main hall should have the arrow tips point upward. Right now the lightning effects are going to one side; If you fix the emitter object direction, you will have a nice spherical effect.

#2 The steam emitter objects should have an alpha value > 0. 0 means completely opaque. 100 should give some nice, semi transparent smoke.

#3 You could add a sound object to each smoke emitter, volume 20%, sound file "steam". That would create a low volume ambient sound of hissing steam.

you should use DLE's diagnosis function. Your updated version of this level is very buggy.

The version from your dropbox produces a screen full of diagnostic error messages when using DLE's diagnosis function. Jus trying to help you here.

Right now I just downloaded it from this page at my first post. Put it in the missions folder in D2X-XL, then opened it in DLE and double checked to make sure the directory to the right hog. Did a diagnostic and it says no errors at all. Did you download it again?

Redownloaded it and now its ok. Maybe something was stuck in my browser cache.

A hint: DLE erroneously placed HXM files in levels, causing D2X-XL to not use certain hires models (e.g. player ship, smart missiles). You may want to check your levels and remove any hxm files in them you did not create (by modifying the properties of robots in that level).
