Enhanced In-Game Soundtracks

Postby FinnFann » Sat May 23, 2015 9:15 pm

Just thought I'd leave these here for anyone that wants them. Hopefully they're not too loud. They should be extractable for use in d2x-xl.

D2 (Includes redbook audio): https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=244d6b0a7dc8bf29%211105

The D1 soundtrack made with the PSX and Mac redbook soundtracks (with holes filled by musyng)

And here is one for you classical folks. These were generated with the Jazman SF88 SC-88 mimic soundfont. Enjoy the period sound!

Updated the descent 2 audio so it wasn't as ear shattering.

Pretty cool, it's always nice to have different sounding versions of the D1/D2 soundtrack!

This one will be also added to my collection. ;)

:3 Thankyu~ There are quite a few ways to make the midi versions of the soundtrack sound different, especially with soundfonts.

You should hear what the Musyng Kite soundfont makes level 8 sound like in descent 1 :P It actually fits, despite how strange it sounds, and the other levels sound good with it as well. I just wasn't sure if I should make a pack out of it XD

Here's a few extra I've thrown together.

Generated with the Musyng Soundfont:

D2: https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=244d6b0a7dc8bf29%211176

The D1 soundtrack made with the PSX and Mac redbook soundtracks (with holes filled by musyng)

Adding the SF88 soundfont results. Great if you wanna sound like you were pumping it through an SC-88, only it's not :D
