You built a D3 mine and made it look like Pumo mines level 1, confess it already! :P

Awesome!

I could add two new object/robots types barrel and crate saving you the work to mod two robots ...

Curses! You discovered the real thing! (i'd better go out of here as soon as possible) :away:
LOL!

Now seriously... :P

By now i'm usin' replacement models for the vertigo robots to make barrels and boxes, and i'm using several of those models (in fact, i've replaced ALL vertigo robot models with barrels and boxes). I'm very comfortable regarding that issue actually, so i think there's no need to add a new option to D2X-XL to cover that.

Anyway, thank you very much for the offer! :D , but by now it seems that D2X-XL covers ALL my needs (and they are a lot ;) ).

Heh... Good one... I never thought that you used d3 editor and created your level for it - but that containers really made me wondering - how the h*** did he do that in d2x-xl?

You can make containers in D2X-XL using the Static robot behaivour (a feature added by Diedel to D2X-XL).

And BTW, even if it looks so good, i made the level in Devil!
Really! :P

I make my level structures first on Devil ('cause i'm comfortable with it) and then finish them on DLE-XP (to add D2X-XL features). That's how i did achieve this level (with all the containers, colored light and the stuff...) ;)

WOW!

That's a cool way of doing things in regards to models! 8)

Next you'll make a tank that fires missiles and has a laser turret. **hint hint**

What i'm planning to do is to make some turrets usin' a level-specific replacement model for the Mini-reactor (this way in some levels it will be a turret, in some others a real Mini-reactor, and the HXM will specify the behaviour in each level separately) ;)

Once i made levels in Devil i noticed certain restrictions there - which prevent an editor from creating a side less then..say...10 out of 200?

You can avoid devil's restrictions if you tweak some options on the 'Internal' window. Check it out, you can make nice level structures on Devil when you ignore those restrictions (of course, some times the original D2 crashes when there's something strange in the level structure, but D2X-XL is a LOT more tolerant)

More advances about Pumo Mines:

This time i've made a new cockpit as well as a new bottom panel with new Gauges and other HUD stuff (like the reticle, etc)...
Check it out:

This is the new cockpit:

Note the window shine on the sides ;)

And this is the panel (the shield gauge showing invul)

Hope you like it! :D
