D2X-XL bleibt stehen bei Initializing Game

Das hier ist mein System, Treiber sind alle aktuell: http://www.sysprofile.de/id151468

Habe D2X-XL nach der Anleitung installiert und die entsprechenden Dateien von Descent 1, 2 + Vertigo in die jeweiligen Ordner kopiert.


Ich könnte mir fast vorstellen, das der Fehler daher kommt, das ich eine negative Zahl bei Polymodels im Log stehen habe. Es macht auch keinen Unterschied ob ich die 32 oder 64 Bit Version benutze.

Jedenfalls, wenn ich das Spiel starte, passiert nichts mehr. Der Fortschrittsbalken bleibt an der Stelle stehen, und wenn ich den Taskmanager dann starte, heißt es, das D2X-XL nicht mehr reagiert.

OK, hat sich erledigt. Hab einfach nochmal alles neu gemacht und jetzt klappt es. Eventuell ging es nicht, weil ich vorher noch 2 Archive mit Texturen und Models von 2008 mit reinkopiert hatte, statt nur die ganzen Dateien die aktuell auf der Seite zum Download stehen.

Das Problem mit der aktuellsten Version kenne ich auch - habe ich nämlich auf meinen System auch. Nach dem Laden der Missionen (egal ob Descent 1, Descent 2 oder Vertigo) erhalte ich die Meldung, das nicht genug Arbeitsspeicher zur Verfügung steht.

Mein System ist aber sehr leistungsfähig, deswegen kann es daran nicht liegen. Habe mal ausprobiert, mein D2X-XL läuft wieder. Man muss in der d2x.ini einfach nur die Hires Texturen deaktivieren (0).

Danach läuft alles ohne Probleme und Crashes... allerdings sieht das ganze dann nur noch halb so hübsch aus. :(
Vielleicht gibt es ja noch mal ein Update, was diese Probleme behebt?
