Just about every post. ;)

:lolol:
Well, i just say that at every version i feel it works really nice. It happens that sometimes on my side a certain version works flawlessly, sometimes better than subsequent versions, and then again, it appears another perfect version. It's an oscillating thing. :P

Also i say that everytime i feel you (Diedel) have achieved a good level of stability and when i think that there's no need to add any further changes to the program (IMHO, of course).

And as you may noticed already, i also wish very much to see a final D2X-XL version ;)
So if i see a bug-free (on my side) version, i immediately point my finger to that one!

D2X-XL v1.14 RC10 Available

Postby karx11erx » Sat Mar 28, 2009 9:17 pm

RC10 is here.

Fixes:

- Rendering bug causing faces to disappear or flicker when their segment was distorted enough.
- Automap view unchecking the framecap: V-Sync setting

Can't tell how much I hope that this is the last RC. :sorry:

Fixed.

Edit:

Btw, please take a look in config/d2x-default.ini - it contains all the settings D2X-XL v1.14 really needs. Most settings that are in older version's d2x.ini files but not in d2x-default.ini are not supported by v1.14 anymore (it uses healthy defaults for these).

I miss being able to shoot down missiles. :( Since the turning radius of homing missiles was turned up it was nice to be able to have a counter to that and shooting missiles was nice. Maybe it is just me that is missing this feature. Other than that the game is stable.

I'm afraid there's gonna have to be one more RC, Diedel...

I found three or four bugs, some small, some of the 'CTD' variety (these are the very last ones on my list), and will be posting them in the bug reports soon. I know about your 'no bug reports on weekends' policy, but rest assured, you don't have to tackle them now  . I'm just going to post them today, because I'll be too busy next week to do so.

After doing a lot of testing with RC10 (in XP), I can safely say that the bug reports I post today represent the final bugs I could find in D2X-XL.

They better not be graphics-related, or he's going to muster a lynch-mob. :D

Edit by: Aus-RED-5

Do we have to post this on every page??

karx11erx wrote:The next one to post a bug report here gets banned for a week to help him or her to focus his/her energy on SF.net.

Reminder: I need your d2x.ini, player files (plr, plx) and d2x.log file together with the bug ticket. In case of complicated bugs I need a test level or a savegame (zipped). No movies, no demos, no screenshots unless asked for.

Repeat offenders will be banned by me.

Diedel can take action now if he wishes.

Try again.

The fact you didn't read through this very same thread, goes to show you didn't read his request.

Zack is new to forum, so he gets a 2nd chance.

I will only lynch ppl I know for years and who have great merits in the D2X-XL development. :P

There is however no excuse for not having read the forum rules and bug reporting guidelines or not following them.

Bug reports have to go to the D2X-XL bug trackers on Surceforge.net!

Unfortunately multiplayer has been largely untested, and there are still a few quirks. :(

I actually second the 'shooting down missiles' option. That was a darn good option to have.
