Re: Mission reviews thread (?, a proposal)
I am wondering whether you are just having too much time and too little useful to do.

Re: Mission reviews thread (?, a proposal)
What you could do is start your own blog for descent map review.
Re: Mission reviews thread (?, a proposal)
I second the blog idea.
You could simply use blogspot or something like that.
Completely free.

Some people are like Slinkies. They aren't really good or even useful for anything but they always manage to put a little smile on your face when you give them enough of a push down the stairs.

It will be more organised too. Your thread might get lost in here.

Re: Mission reviews thread (?, a proposal)
Yeah, a Blog could be an excellent idea indeed. You could also make a WordPress blog (I think it's better than Blogger) with the reviews we may give to you on it.
BTW, It's very nice to my eyes to have such a great SP fanatic like you KakHome!
Even if I haven't played some of the SP missions out there, I'm TOTALLY a fan of SP on top over MP, so I find you as a great SP companion.

Hey, that's pretty cool!
I will add your blog to my browser's favorites!
I can't wait to see your Phobos encounter review, also to see your style of reviewing, so I can follow your line if I decide to send you some review from side to put it on your blog.

Suggestion:
Add a download link for the mission at the end of each post.

Just curious, but why are you using rebirth rather than D2x-xl with all the enhancements turned off?

Re: Descent Blog (Authors - Kak and Pumo)
Robots don't move at different speed in D2X-XL. The only difference is that robots will move around in singleplayer games when they are idling a bit to give more life to the game.
I have proved to you that D2X-XL works properly in this area of dropping powerups, and I even compared it with the original code here, which is functionally identical.
Of course you can write what you want in your own blog, but if you don't stop claiming D2X-XL would behave differently in certain areas of basic gameplay than standard Descent does here without backing it up with clear and undeniable evidence in the future I will remove such posts of yours from the forum.

Probably best not to even begin to mention anything like that here, or bad things can happen.

Re: Descent Blog (Authors - Kak and Pumo)
OK, so now, as I'm a contributor to KakHome's blog, I made a small introduction of myself there.

BTW, I must say it's a pretty nice blog, so if there's any Single Player enthusiast there, this Blog is a must read, as (at least IMHO) the reviews Kak made for some SP missions, are pretty well made.

Nonsense!
This is about posting feelings like they were facts. Post a bug and provide good evidence - no problem.
Pumo,
I have read the blog, it's indeed pretty well done.

This reminds me of a PC version of the BattleTech board game I once played. People apparently kept complaining about the random number generator not being random because of freak events happening too often and things like that; but nobody had any factual basis for these claims.
