Hi MetalBeast,
i had a short view on these textures and most of them seem to be very cool. But it will take a while to check them and update my document. So stay tuned...

now thats was a hard one. I had to figure out how to save tga so it shows in D2x-xl. I wonder why it have to be TGA in the first place. really tricky part.

Because uncompressed TGA is very simple to handle.

That is correct, but with the right tools or software. It's easy.
Look, we've been down this road once before at the dbb.net site.
In the end, Diedel wants uncompressed TGA format. End of story.
Is that to much to ask for? After all. He does the hardest part of the job.
The way I see it. Learn to work with it, or don't do it. It's as simple as that.
But hey, that's me......

Who complains...I'm fine with TARGA...As far as i can work with that. If it's easy for programming and all - let it be...to bad few software can handle TGA quite right for D2X-XL. All in all the main trouble with the descent edit these days - is that a lot of time spent not on initial edit but on the figuring out the way of how it works. But i guess it goes with all the software for the game creation which being made for designers.
for instance - door 38 took 2 hours to create and about 2 to make it work with alpha and all.

I will see whether I can use SDL_image, that would allow for other (even compressed) formats. I'd like to go for png.

PNG would be fine

@Joffa, try paint.net freeware for saving in d2x-xl TGA format (24-bit uncompressed), it's cool and freeware.

EDIT:

working now at missing textures: from metl002 to metl152
