HELP!

I am trying to run D2X-XL but it keeps saying that im missing descent2.hog file... i am currently using definitive series collection CD and i know that i have all the files that i need to run this.. can anybody help me out with this problem? thanks!

Are all the files in the right folders?

See Installation Guide for further help.

ya i had the same problem. put the hog and pig files in the data folder.

ya i did put all of those files into the data folder.... but once i try and start it, it closes and still says cannot find that file

try putting all the files that say descent/descent2 but descent2.exe in the data folder.

it is still saying it.... maybe i dont have all of the files that i need?? i also tried moving that hog file to the Descent2 file... D2X-XL begins to startup but when the movie ends, it closes and says cannot open ham and or pig files.....

Do you have the latest drivers for your video card? I had a similar problem, but updating my video drivers fixed it.

i still dont get it...... i should have all of the files in the right folders and when i click on the D2X-XL program, it just crashes and gives me that messga.... i have re-installed the game about 6 times right now and still cant figure it out what am i doing wrong?

Ok here the thing.

Please give us more info regarding your setup.

What OS are you using?
What is the system specs of your PC?
What version number of D2X-XL are you using. (Please do not say the "Latest")

Can you please give us a list of what files are in what folders?

Computers work the same everywhere, so if D2X-XL doesn't find data, it's in the wrong place.

i previoudly had this problem. Could the files be named descent2.hog.hog? That happens sometimes. It is a .hog file to begin with, so there is no need for the extra extentsion :)
